Click the ground to move to that point. Or click your avatar and use the arrow keys to move. You can also use the WASD keys.
In some cities, like New Venice, you can fly by tapping the F3 key once. Point your mouse to where you want to fly. Then use the WASD or arrow keys to move. When you are ready to land, tap the Q key.

In the next year, we will extend the movement controls in the Client to let users map the movement controls to the keys they prefer.
Press the space bar to go up. Press Ctrl to go down. Press W to move forward, and S to move back. Move the mouse to steer.
The current Blue Mars client offers a variety of camera views that are accessible by clicking the camera icon at the bottom of the screen. We extended the camera controls in the client to include mouse wheel support and alternate camera modes. See our tutorial page for more info.
It depends on the City where you are located. Some developers don’t offer flying in their Cities. Next year, Avatar Reality will provide a standard set of flying controls and animations for developers to use at their discretion.
Yes. At this time, developers need to set up locations where users can teleport to. Next year, we will offer a global teleport system so users can go exactly where they like in a City unless the City Developer has disabled teleportation for that area.
Our global and default city maps are under development. We expect to release new versions of both in the first half of next year. Developers are welcome to provide their own maps directly in the interface for their city.
We launched the first phase: direct links to Cities called Blinks. We are developing the ability to Blink to specific locations within Cities.
Users can move between different Cities using the Places Browser that comes with the Blue Mars client. Users can access the Places Browser by clicking the Home button in the menu bar.
